The Office of the State Climatologist for Mississippi is here to provide accurate and relevant meteorological and climatological data, information, and expertise to the citizens of Mississippi.  This is accomplished through applied research and outreach activities.  In particular we strive to educate the public on how weather and climate affects their lives and how they can best address challenges and opportunities that come with our weather and climate here in Mississippi.  This office, working with the Mississippi extension service, is uniquely positioned to support our state's agricultural interests.
